We are feeling very excited about starting up a weekly lunch club in Gateshead in the near future. Our first Big Lunch get together in June of this year went very well, and we realise that there is a massive need for regular sessions in Gateshead. These sessions will provide people seeking sanctuary with a meal, some company, and food parcel to take home. We’ll also be inviting professionals and members of the local community along to help out and provide people with a warm welcome.

In order to get started with regular sessions, we need to raise £600 so we can register with Fareshare. Fareshare is an excellent organisation working to prevent hunger and use food that would otherwise be thrown away. More information about Fareshare can be found at www.fareshare.org.uk
